Born in 1973 in Fujian, China and lives in Hong Kong, Jaffa received BFA, MFA at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She specializes in large-scaled mixed media sculptural installations, which are mainly made with recycled materials. Her work explores issues relating to local culture, history, society and current affairs. Her project views and thoughts of ordinary people through her non-narrative and dialogical installations. She received Asian Cultural Council award (2006) and the Commendation Award presented by the Secretary of Home Affairs, Hong Kong (2017).
林嵐1973年生於中國福建，居於香港，畢業於香港中文大學，創作以回收物料為主的大型跨媒介雕塑裝置。她多次獲邀參加國際展覽和藝術家留駐計劃。她的社區項目以非敘事性、開放對話的裝置，為歷史文化與社會時事牽線，反思城市地方、手工業的消失，為小人物寫下大時代的注腳。林嵐於2006年獲亞洲文化協會捷成漢伉儷獎助金，2017年獲香港民政事務局長嘉許獎。
Nasceu em 1973 em Fujing, R.P. da China e vive em Hong Kong. Jaffa é Mestre pela Universidade Chinesa de Hong Kong. Trabalha com diferentes materiais em instalações e esculturas de grande escala. O seu trabalho explora questões relacionadas com a contemporaneidade, a cultura local, a história e a sociedade. O seu discurso artístico reflecte o pensamento das pessoas reais, através de instalações não narrativas e dialógicas. Galardoada com o prémio do Conselho Cultural Asiático (2006) e o Prémio de Louvor pelo Secretário de Assuntos Internos, Hong Kong (2017).
